The Kosovar-German Business Association in Kosovo was founded on April 17, 2012, with the support of the German Embassy in Kosovo and 39 Kosovar companies. It operates on the basis of its statutes and has organized its board members and managers hierarchically according to professional fields.

The purpose of the KDWV is to represent and protect the interests of German businesses in Kosovo and Kosovar companies operating in Germany. The primary objectives of the KDWV also include deepening ongoing cooperation between companies in both countries and creating the necessary opportunities for bilateral business expansion.

To be aware of the situation and to create better conditions for all business activities between our two countries, the KDWV maintains ongoing cooperation with the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) based in Berlin. In addition to its strong relationship with the DIHK, the KDWV also maintains similar relationships with the German Embassy in Kosovo, Kosovar state institutions, other economic and social bodies in the country, and especially with its member companies, whose numbers continue to grow.
