Message from the Executive Director
Dear Members and Partners,
May has been an active and forward-looking month for KDWV, with one clear priority at the centre of our work: the German-Kosovar Economic Forum, taking place on 28–29 October 2026.
Preparations are already well underway. We are actively inviting German companies, identifying relevant international and local speakers, and shaping a programme that goes beyond discussion. Our goal is to create a Forum that brings the right people into the same room: businesses, investors, institutions, and partners who are ready to explore concrete opportunities between Kosovo and Germany.
This Forum is not only an event in our calendar. It is an important platform to present Kosovo’s potential, strengthen business cooperation, and open new doors for partnerships, investment, and market access. For our members, it is an opportunity to be visible, to connect, and to take part in conversations that can lead to real business outcomes.
At the same time, May was marked by several important engagements. KDWV had the pleasure of being part of the Future Industry Minds 2026 conference in Germany, where we supported our member companies in connecting with German partners and exploring opportunities within European value chains. This reflects our continued commitment to positioning Kosovo companies closer to international networks and new markets.
Throughout the month, we also continued our work through different cluster meetings, bringing members together around sector-specific topics and encouraging direct dialogue, cooperation, and the exchange of practical insights. These meetings help us better understand the needs of our members and ensure that our work remains relevant, focused, and valuable.
Our visits to Premium Members also remained an important part of our engagement. Through these direct exchanges, we continue to stay close to the business community, understand current challenges, and identify new areas for cooperation and support.
Looking ahead, our focus is clear: to strengthen the bridge between Kosovo and Germany, promote the interests of our members, and ensure that the German-Kosovar Economic Forum becomes a platform where connections turn into partnerships, and dialogue turns into concrete business opportunities.
We look forward to building this momentum together and to welcoming you at the German-Kosovar Economic Forum on 28–29 October 2026.
Thank you for your continued trust and collaboration.

The Tax Administration of Kosovo Modernizes Tax Block Procedures via EDI System
The long physical waits of business representatives in tax offices have come to an end. The Tax Administration of Kosovo has definitively announced that on May 15, 2026, the new regulation for the electronic fiscalization of tax blocks definitively enters into force.
This long-awaited reform brings a change in the way businesses operate, guaranteeing an extremely transparent, simple, and efficient process for all taxpayers.
The entire process is integrated within the EDI electronic system, where businesses can log in by generating a unique tax block code, which is created automatically by the system itself.
This unique code serves as legal and official proof of the block’s validity, replacing the former physical stamps. Furthermore, the system allows the generation of more than 50 tax receipts within a block, depending on the taxpayer’s request. The Administrative Instruction contains in detail the exact steps that must be followed by businesses during the transition of this process into electronic form.
This modernization process enables TAK, in addition to significantly easing administrative procedures, to also create a safer environment for financial circulation, integrating the control and certification system directly into the computer equipment of each business.
