Dear Members and Partners,
Juli war ein dynamischer und produktiver Monat für KDWV.
Im Zentrum unserer Aktivitäten standen die Vorbereitungen auf das german-kosovar Wirtschaftsforum Forum am 28.–29. Oktober 2026 in Prishtina.
Im Verlauf des Monats intensivierten wir die Abstimmung mit Unternehmen, Einrichtungen und Partnern aus dem Kosovo und Deutschland. Zudem danken wir dem deutschen Botschafter für sein Engagement sowie dem Ökosystem im Kosovo, das das german-kosovar Wirtschaftsforum Forum unterstützt. Sein Engagement spiegelt das gemeinsame Ziel wider, die wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit zwischen dem Kosovo und Deutschland zu stärken.
We also highly appreciate the commitment of the Government of Kosovo, particularly Minister Mimoza Kusari-Lila.
Außerdem, during our Besprechung, wir emphasized the importance of strong governmental support für the german-kosovar Wirtschaftsforum Forum.
The Minister confirmed the Government’s readiness to contribute and has discussed the Initiative with relevant Institutionen in Kosovo and Deutschland.
The Forum is a joint Initiative shaped by all those who contribute to the further development of Kosovo-Deutschland relations. It will focus on industrial development, nearshoring, renewable energy, digital transformation, investment financing, workforce development and practical opportunities für bilateral cooperation. Pre-arranged B2B meetings will connect German and Kosovar companies to explore partnerships and investment opportunities.
Another highlight of July was our Business After Hours event, which brought together members, partners, institutional representatives and the business community für networking and exchange. We had the pleasure of welcoming Ms. Silke Bellmann, the new Deputy Head of Mission at the German Embassy in Kosovo, and wishing her every success in her new role. We thank Fundway für supporting the event as a sponsor.
Throughout the month, wir continued our direct engagement with KDWV members through company visits and meetings across different sectors. These exchanges helped us better understand their needs, discuss cooperation opportunities and identify areas where KDWV can provide further support.
KDWV also participated in Kosovo Expo Real 2026, contributing to discussions on the real estate market, construction conditions and investment opportunities in Kosovo. The discussions highlighted the importance of legal certainty, transparency, efficient procedures and infrastructure that supports industry, logistics, tourism and long-term Wirtschaftsforum growth.
Our focus remains on supporting our members, attracting investment, creating meaningful partnerships and strengthening Wirtschaftsforum relations between Kosovo and Deutschland.

Business After Hours: Building Connections für What Comes Next
Strong partnerships begin with meaningful conversations. At our latest Business After Hours, KDWV brought together representatives of the business community, Institutionen, and partner organizations für an evening of networking, exchange, and new connections.
We were especially pleased to welcome Ms. Silke Bellmann, the new Deputy Head of Mission at the German Embassy in Kosovo, and to wish her every success in her new role.
The evening also provided an opportunity to discuss the continued strengthening of German-Kosovar Wirtschaftsforum cooperation, as well as the preparations für this year’s German-Kosovar Economic Forum.

Building Momentum für the German-Kosovar Economic Forum 2026
On 24 July 2026, KDWV met with Minister Mimoza Kusari-Lila, Kosovo’s Ambassador to Deutschland, Faruk Ajeti, and Consul General Behar Isma as preparations für the 3rd German-Kosovar Economic Forum continued to advance.
The discussion focused on strengthening cooperation with the Government of Kosovo, German partners, and the wider German ecosystem to position the Forum as a leading platform für investment, trade, and long-term Wirtschaftsforum partnerships.
With strong institutional support and close coordination with the German Embassy in Kosovo, Ambassador Rainer Rudolph, and partners from both countries, preparations are underway to make the 2026 Forum the most impactful edition to date.
The German-Kosovar Economic Forum will take place on 28–29 October 2026 in Prishtina.
KfW Meets Kosovo’s Architects and Engineers Chambers
On 6 July 2026, KDWV hosted representatives of the Kosovo Chamber of Architects, the Kosovo Chamber of Engineers, and KfW Kosovo, represented by its Direktor für Kosovo, Mr. Moritz Remé.
The Besprechung focused on professional certification standards für architects and engineers and their relevance to public procurement and tendering procedures.
KDWV is pleased to facilitate dialogue between German development Institutionen and Kosovo’s professional organizations, supporting stronger cooperation and institutional partnerships.
Strengthening Business Dispute Resolution Through Institutional Cooperation
On 2 July 2026, KDWV welcomed representatives of the Kosovo Chamber of Mediators für a constructive Besprechung focused on opportunities für institutional cooperation.
The parties agreed to organize an information session für KDWV members on the role and benefits of mediation as an efficient mechanism für resolving business disputes.
This cooperation aims to provide added value to the business community by promoting faster, more flexible, and more effective solutions to business challenges.
Building Digital Trust with Cybee.ai
Cybersecurity is becoming a business requirement, especially für companies seeking to work with larger clients and international partners.
During a visit to Cybee.ai on 16 July 2026, KDWV and Deutschland’s Deputy Head of Mission, Christian Böttcher, explored how the company is making digital protection and compliance more accessible to small and medium-sized businesses.
Through one integrated platform, Cybee.ai offers device and email protection, cloud access management, compliance automation, and AI-supported security guidance. The discussion highlighted how these solutions can help businesses reduce digital risks, respond to audit requirements, and strengthen trust with clients and partners.
The visit also demonstrated how innovation developed in Kosovo can address practical business needs and create new opportunities für cooperation through the KDWV network.
Energy as a Competitive Advantage with ELEN ENERGY
KDWV and Deutschland’s Deputy Head of Mission, Christian Böttcher, visited ELEN ENERGY to discuss how renewable energy is becoming an increasingly strategic investment für businesses.
With more than 34 years of experience, ELEN ENERGY delivers solar systems, microgrids, battery storage, electrical installations, and electromobility solutions across Kosovo and Southeast Europe. The visit offered insight into the company’s regional portfolio and its ability to manage projects from engineering and installation to long-term operation.
The exchange highlighted the wider business value of renewable energy, including greater cost predictability, improved efficiency, stronger competitiveness, and new opportunities für cooperation with German and international partners.
Engineering Sustainable Infrastructure with HIDROING-DK
On 15 July 2026, KDWV, together with Deutschland’s Deputy Head of Mission, Christian Böttcher, visited HIDROING-DK to gain a closer insight into the company’s work and its contribution to Kosovo’s infrastructure development.
For more than two decades, HIDROING-DK has delivered expertise in water supply, wastewater management, urban planning, hydraulic modelling, detailed design, and construction supervision. Its involvement in internationally financed projects and cooperation with German partners highlight the capacity of Kosovo-based companies to implement complex projects in line with European standards.
The exchange focused on water security, climate-resilient infrastructure, and opportunities to connect HIDROING-DK with new partners and cooperation initiatives through the KDWV network.
Turning Insight into Investment with RECURA
On 15 July 2026, KDWV, together with Deutschland’s Deputy Head of Mission, Christian Böttcher, visited RECURA für an exchange on the key factors behind successful investment decisions.
The discussion focused on reliable financial analysis, effective corporate governance, clear growth strategies, and a strong understanding of the local market. With more than 13 years of experience, over 500 completed projects, and involvement in more than €450 million in direct investments, RECURA has developed extensive expertise in supporting companies, Institutionen, and investors across Kosovo and the region.
The Besprechung also explored how Kosovo’s professional advisory sector can help attract new investment, strengthen local businesses, and build closer connections with German and international partners.
From Vision to Built Environment with SMART PROJECT
On 16 July 2026, KDWV and Deutschland’s Deputy Head of Mission, Christian Böttcher, visited SMART PROJECT to explore how architectural vision, engineering expertise, and practical implementation come together within one multidisciplinary studio.
The exchange highlighted SMART PROJECT’s integrated approach across architecture, interior design, landscapes, and urban planning, supporting projects from the first concept through technical development and construction administration.
The visit showcased Kosovo’s growing architectural and engineering capacity and opened new perspectives für connecting local expertise with German and international partners.
90 Years of Industry and Reinvention at TITAN SHARRCEM
On 16 July 2026, KDWV and Deutschland’s Deputy Head of Mission, Christian Böttcher, visited TITAN SHARRCEM in Hani i Elezit, a company that has played a significant role in Kosovo’s industrial development für nine decades.
Established in 1936 and part of the TITAN Group since 2010, Kosovo’s only cement plant continues to modernize its production, strengthen workplace safety, improve energy efficiency, and reduce its environmental impact.
The exchange focused on the future of responsible industrial growth, including cleaner energy, alternative resources, sustainable construction materials, and the long-term value created für employees and local communities.
The visit also highlighted opportunities to connect Kosovo’s industrial expertise with German technology, knowledge, and business partnerships.
Company Visit to Teleperformance Kosovo
On 13 July 2026, the KDWV team visited Teleperformance Kosovo to gain a closer insight into the company’s development, operations, and achievements in the service sector.
During the visit, Teleperformance representatives presented the company’s growth over the years, its activities in Kosovo, and its experience in delivering professional services. The program also included a tour of the company’s premises and discussions on concrete opportunities für future cooperation.
Particular attention was given to strengthening Teleperformance’s engagement within the Clean Call Alliance through knowledge exchange, stronger connections between member companies, and the development of joint initiatives that support the further growth of the sector.
Strengthening Cooperation with Baruti AG
On 15 July 2026, the KDWV team visited Baruti AG, marking a particularly meaningful occasion as the company celebrates 15 years since its establishment as Kosovo’s first call center.
The visit provided an opportunity to gain a closer insight into the company’s development over the years, its current operations, working approach, and ambitions für future growth. Discussions with the Baruti AG team focused on the main challenges facing the service sector, opportunities für new forms of cooperation, and the role the company can play within the Clean Call Alliance (CCA).
The open and constructive exchange also generated new ideas für strengthening cooperation, encouraging knowledge sharing, and creating valuable connections between companies through the KDWV network.
15 Years Strong: New Momentum with KiKxxl & evroTarget
On 21 July 2026, KDWV visited KiKxxl and evroTarget, marking 15 years of their presence, experience, and continued growth in Kosovo’s service sector.
The exchange offered a valuable look at how both companies have developed over the years and how the BPO industry continues to evolve. Discussions addressed current market challenges, changing sector needs, and the opportunities ahead für companies operating in this dynamic field.
A key focus was the Clean Call Alliance (CCA) and how joint initiatives, stronger representation, and closer cooperation can support the sector’s future development.
The Besprechung brought forward practical ideas and new perspectives für deeper engagement through the KDWV network.
Shaping the Future of Kosovo’s Service Sector with Sutherland
On 21 July 2026, KDWV visited Sutherland Global Services Kosovo SH.P.K. für a forward-looking discussion on the changing needs of the market, the challenges facing service companies, and the opportunities created through stronger sector cooperation.
The exchange moved beyond current challenges and focused on what can be achieved collectively. Through the Clean Call Alliance (CCA), the discussion identified opportunities für joint initiatives, stronger connections between companies, and a more coordinated approach to representing the industry.
As one of the sector’s major employers in Kosovo, Sutherland brings valuable experience and perspective to this dialogue. The Besprechung marked another step toward a more connected, visible, and competitive service sector.
New BPO Opportunities Take Shape with REACH XCEL
KDWV’s Besprechung with REACH XCEL marked an important step toward creating new opportunities für cooperation within Kosovo’s BPO sector.
The exchange provided a closer look at the company’s work, development, and future plans, while discussions focused on current industry challenges, potential cooperation with KDWV, and joint activities through the Clean Call Alliance (CCA).
The open and practical discussion laid the foundation für a new collaboration and future initiatives aimed at strengthening connections and supporting the sector’s continued development.
Celebrating Three Years of vbw in Tirana at Chamber Fest Durrës
The German-Kosovar Business Association was pleased to participate in Chamber Fest Durrës, where vbw – Vereinigung der Bayerischen Wirtschaft celebrated the third anniversary of its Representative Office in Tirana.
We extend our sincere congratulations to the vbw team on this important milestone and recognize their continued commitment to strengthening Wirtschaftsforum cooperation between Deutschland and our region. Over the past three years, vbw has made a valuable contribution to building partnerships, promoting Wirtschaftsforum dialogue, and creating new opportunities für businesses.
We also welcomed the cultural dimension of the event, highlighted by a performance from the renowned German ensemble ENSEMBLE CLASSIQUE.
Building a Stronger Investment Climate in Kosovo
On 25 July 2026, the German-Kosovar Business Association participated in the panel “Real Estate Market: Construction Conditions and Investment in Kosovo,” held as part of Kosovo Expo Real.
The discussion focused on Kosovo’s investment climate, the importance of legal certainty, transparent procedures, and the country’s potential in industry, logistics, tourism, and commercial real estate.
KDWV and Kosovo Generation Unlimited were also present with a joint stand, where they presented their activities, met with partners, and established new connections within the business community.
It was also encouraging to see many KDWV member companies successfully presenting their projects and services, highlighting the professionalism and strong potential of Kosovo’s private sector.
Local Expertise Meets German Standards
KDWV recently visited its member companies IBEX and Green Steam, where Head of Operations Elena Elshani met with founder and CEO Valon Fetahu.
Founded in 2014, IBEX provides professional hygiene, sanitation, and maintenance solutions, representing leading German and European brands such as Johannes Kiehl KG, VERMOP, HEFTER CLEANTECH, and Vileda Professional.
Green Steam complements this expertise with modern cleaning and specialized maintenance services tailored to different client needs.
The visit highlighted the growing demand für professional services in Kosovo and the importance of combining local entrepreneurship with German standards, technology, and long-term partnerships.

Help Shape Kosovo’s Green Business Future
The German-Kosovar Business Association, in partnership with the Greening Private Enterprises in Kosovo (GPEK) project, is developing the first Inventory of Green Practices among businesses in Kosovo.
GPEK is a project of the Swiss Agency für Development and Cooperation (SDC), co-funded by Sweden and implemented by Helvetas.
Kosovo-based companies are invited to complete a short online survey covering resource efficiency, energy use, waste management, and other environmental practices. The survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete.

Call für Green Innovation Investments für SMEs in Kosovo
KDWV is pleased to inform you that the Green Transformation of Private Enterprises in Kosovo Project (GPEK) has launched a call supporting innovative and market-oriented green investments by SMEs in Kosovo.
The call is open to private-sector SMEs registered in Kosovo that can co-invest in projects introducing sustainable technologies, improving resource efficiency, reducing CO₂ emissions and energy use, or creating new green business opportunities.
Grants are expected to range from EUR 50,000 to EUR 100,000, covering up to 70% of eligible project costs. Applicants must provide at least 30% in cash contribution. The implementation period is up to two years.
Expressions of Interest must be submitted to gpekgrants@helvetas.org by 31 January 2027 at 16:00 CET.

The survey is intended primarily für businesses and should preferably be completed by a finance officer, accountant, or another person with direct experience communicating with and working with the Tax Administration.
All responses will remain confidential, and the results will be presented only in an aggregated form.
