Innovation. Sustainability. Partnership for a European Future
Prishtina, 28–29 October 2026
The German-Kosovar Economic Forum has developed into a stable and recognised platform for economic exchange between Kosovo and Germany.
It brings together decision-makers from government, business, and international institutions with a shared objective: to strengthen economic cooperation through structured dialogue and practical engagement.
The Forum is not designed as a series of standalone discussions. It is built as a working format where strategic exchange, sector-focused dialogue, and business-to-business interaction take place within one coordinated environment.
The 2026 edition continues this approach, building on the experience and outcomes of previous years.
Continuity and growth
The 2024 Forum confirmed the growing relevance of this platform.
It brought together more than 650 participants on its first day and over 700 in total, including a strong presence of German companies and institutions from both the public and private sectors. The level of participation reflected a clear interest in deepening economic ties and exploring concrete areas of cooperation.
Over time, the Forum has developed from an exchange platform into a structured setting where discussions regularly lead to follow-up engagement between companies and institutions.
The 2026 edition continues this trajectory with a stronger focus on implementation and direct business interaction.

A structured format
The Forum is organised around three interconnected elements.
Plenary sessions provide a broader economic perspective, bringing together policymakers, institutional representatives, and business leaders to discuss developments shaping cooperation between Germany and Kosovo. Investment Tracks run in parallel, focusing on key sectors of economic cooperation and allowing for more targeted discussion among relevant stakeholders.
Alongside this, structured B2B matchmaking forms an integral part of the programme.
B2B as a central component
Participants are matched in advance based on sector focus, areas of interest, and potential for cooperation. This ensures that meetings are relevant and grounded in clear context.
On the second day, the Forum is dedicated to these structured B2B sessions. Meetings take place in a planned format that allows companies and institutions to engage directly on cooperation opportunities, investment interests, and market entry considerations.
This approach is intended to move beyond informal networking and create a clear framework for business interaction.
The Forum concentrates on three areas that reflect both current cooperation and future potential:
Digital economy and nearshoring services
Focusing on how service-based industries are integrating into international value chains and expanding cross-border cooperation.
Energy transition and infrastructure
Addressing investment needs, regulatory developments, and the practical implementation of energy and infrastructure projects.
Manufacturing and industrial cooperation
Looking at supply chains, production standards, and the integration of regional companies into European industrial networks.
Each of these areas is connected to ongoing economic developments and forms part of the broader discussion on cooperation between Kosovo and Germany.

From dialogue to engagement
The Forum is designed to ensure continuity between different levels of discussion.
Plenary sessions set the broader context.
Track discussions allow for sector-specific exchange.
Executive conversations offer direct insights from industry representatives.
These elements are connected through the B2B programme, which enables structured interaction between relevant participants.
The intention is that discussions do not remain isolated, but move naturally into direct engagement where there is mutual interest.
Working formats and interaction spaces
In addition to the main programme, the Forum includes an exhibition and networking environment where organisations present their activities and engage with participants throughout both days.
This space supports ongoing exchange and allows for interaction beyond scheduled sessions.
Applied learning formats
The Forum also includes practical masterclasses focused on topics relevant to companies engaging with European markets.
These sessions address regulatory frameworks, market entry processes, compliance requirements, and other operational aspects of doing business across borders.
They are designed to complement the main programme with applied, experience-based input.
Continuity beyond the Forum
The Forum extends beyond formal sessions through structured networking formats and evening programmes in Prishtina.
These provide additional space for exchange and relationship-building in a less formal setting, supporting continuity in discussions initiated during the day.
Position of the Forum
The German-Kosovar Economic Forum today functions as a consistent platform for structured economic engagement between Germany and Kosovo.
Its value lies in its format: bringing together relevant stakeholders, creating space for focused discussion, and enabling direct business interaction through a structured B2B process.
The 2026 edition continues this work with a clear emphasis on practical cooperation and measurable engagement between participants.
