This large global company has opened its branch in Kosovo. In a very dynamic and relaxing environment at the same time, this branch is located in the heart of Prishtina. There we had the opportunity to talk to Taulant Abazi, Site Leader in this branch. With over 75 workers under management, Taulant seemed quite calm, as were his staff some of whom we even found playing ping-pong at the time we went for the interview.<\/p>\n

Abazi told us a lot about the company. Very ambitious goals and plans, the reasons for his return from the US to work in Kosova, the books from which he finds inspiration and his message to young people.<\/p>\n

When did you decide to open this business in Kosovo?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The business was opened in 2018 in Kosova. Bardh Lohaj, who at that time was employee number 33, proposed this great idea of opening up a branch of Celonis in his hometown, Prishtina.<\/p>\n

What are the company’s plans for the future?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The company as a company is creating a category in itself. SAP or Oracle have created a category of administrative systems, Celonis is creating a category of executive management systems. In the long run, every company in the world will use Cellonis. In short, last year we onboardedthe 1000 largest companies in the world and this year we will make the second thousand. (G2K = Global 2000).<\/p>\n

For those who do not know, what exactly does Celonis<\/strong> do?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A brief description. The software as a service is called \u2018execution management system\u2019. To begin with, it started with the process mining. Every company has processes. Each step of the process is identical to each other. That is, it has parameters that are very similar to: ID description and time. With this information, our software that we developed almost 10 years ago, had that part of the process mining that could visualize how the processes are going, how fast they are going, where they are slowing down, etc. This information alone is not enough to get the job done. I’m just giving you information on how the processes are going.<\/p>\n

What is the most important lesson you have learned in your life? <\/strong><\/p>\n

„Everything seems impossible until it’s done.“ Everyone has found it impossible to return to Kosovo and do something. I came back, it\u2019s done and now the next step.<\/p>\n

What would you have considered your greatest achievement?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Daily life. What I have is the goal I wanted to achieve. This morning I was at the Ministry of Economy, tomorrow at the Ministry of Education. Yesterday morning I hired 14 people at work. I\u2019m trying to open up a tuition-free coding school. My daily life is my greatest achievement.<\/p>\n

Do you have any books you would like to recommend?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I have it written here. The Organized Mind by Daniel J. Levitin. This book teaches us how the brain works. Especially today when 24\/7 has information, has everything and there are people who expect things, attention and work from you. „Organized mind“ enables how the information that comes in every day works. Where the information goes, how the brain works, where the information is localized, how the brain slows down, how important it is to be focused on a meeting so that I do not think about the other or it is done or not.<\/p>\n

Is there a book you haven’t read yet but can’t wait to read?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I’m currently reading „The Cultured Mind“. I do not research much about what books are on the market but if someone introduces me to a book that I like, I immediately go on Amazon and order it.<\/p>\n

What is one characteristic that you like most about yourself?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I am very calm. Nothing makes me lose focus.. Having this distance and time of reflection knows all the time where you are. I as Taulant know all the time where I am, where I have company and society. This is what I like.<\/p>\n

Are there any characteristics you do not like about yourself?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The fitness part Haha. I am taking things to work very willingly and I am still not taking this part of the activity seriously. Luckily I am not consuming things I should not. There was a „click“ there and at fitness I am still waiting for it.<\/p>\n

Is there something you do not like about others?<\/strong><\/p>\n

People who try to impose their opinion before they listen to you. If a person is not willing to listen, then she does not like it. It is in that book „Culture Mind“, it describes a situation of a Chinese saying where it is said that „it is a reason we have two eyes, two ears and one mouth“<\/p>\n

What would you like to leave to your children?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Inheritance. Yes, because to return for ideals, you also return for opportunities. Inheritance in the sense that with the market this is my parent. It is more for the child to have open doors. Just understand that if a country has many challenges, there are also many opportunities. The moment we realize this, basically, we will start to open our eyes and we will start. Come on I’m opening this vegan restaurant that I like. This Vietnamese restaurant is going to my kitchen, come on, I opened it. That part.
