FI-KS marks third year with new leadership<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The first FI-KS meeting of 2026, held on March 26, marked an important milestone as the network entered its third year since its establishment. During this period, FIKS has continued to strengthen cooperation and dialogue among its members, contributing to the development of Kosovo\u2019s financial and digital ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meeting, the chairmanship was formally handed over to Paysera, ensuring continuity in leadership and a renewed commitment to advancing the platform\u2019s objectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the key decisions of this session was the establishment of an AML and Compliance Committee within FI-KS. This step reflects the members\u2019 joint commitment to strengthening standards, enhancing transparency, and aligning with best practices in financial integrity and regulatory compliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 18 March, KDWV joined the preparatory session for Future Industry Minds 2026 together with 9 member companies of KDWV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Organized by business factors Deutschland GmbH and supported by the Government of Kosovo, this initiative positions Kosovo as a Partner Country and creates direct opportunities for engagement with German industry leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The session highlighted concrete benefits, including access to decision-makers, structured B2B meetings, and new partnership opportunities. Strong interest from our members shows that this is more than an event, it is a real step toward investment, exports, and long-term cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

KDWV and IOM Kosovo sign MoU to strengthen economic cooperation<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On 27 March, IOM Kosovo and the German-Kosovar Business Association signed a Memorandum of Understanding, marking a stronger partnership on migration and economic development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through this cooperation, the two parties will work together to support the local economy and migrant populations in Kosovo by facilitating labour market integration, strengthening business development and entrepreneurship, and highlighting the positive role migration can play in creating new opportunities for the private sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regional Economic Integration in Focus at Riinvest Panel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On 12 March, the Berlin Process and the Common Regional Market were at the center of a panel discussion organized by the Riinvest Institute and moderated by its Executive Director, Dr. Alban Hashani. Among the invited speakers was Besnik Vasolli, Executive Director of the German-Kosovar Business Association (KDWV), who shared the business community\u2019s perspective on the importance of economic cooperation, trade integration, and regional mobility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the perspective of international investors, the Western Balkans is increasingly seen not as six small markets but as a region with considerable potential of around 18 million consumers. On 18 March, Germany\u2019s Deputy Ambassador to Kosovo, Christian B\u00f6ttcher, visited Devolli Corporation in Peja, a Premium Member of KDWV. As one of Kosovo\u2019s largest and most diversified business groups, with around 5,000 employees and a strong international presence, Devolli represents an important example of the growing economic ties between Kosovo and Germany. The visit focused on the company\u2019s contribution to employment, industrial development, economic growth, and its investments in modern production and sustainability initiatives, including clean energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 9 March, Germany\u2019s Deputy Ambassador to Kosovo, Christian B\u00f6ttcher, visited Sentry in Prishtina, a Premium Member of KDWV, where discussions focused on the growing importance of cybersecurity in today\u2019s digital economy. During the visit, Sentry presented its work in cybersecurity services, including managed security solutions, penetration testing, and continuous monitoring, highlighting Kosovo\u2019s expanding expertise in digital resilience and high-value cybersecurity services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 12 March, during a visit to DHL Kosovo, a Premium Member of OEGJK, the company\u2019s important role in connecting Kosovo with international markets was highlighted. During a visit to OneFor together with Deputy Ambassador Christian B\u00f6ttcher, Antje Wandelt (AHK), and Hans-J\u00fcrgen Wittmann (GTAI), hosted by CEO Yll Dushi and the OneFor team, discussions focused on the company\u2019s impressive growth as a fintech solution developed and tested in Kosovo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 10 March, KDWV had the pleasure of meeting with representatives of Paysera and Finmo. The discussion focused on the latest developments in digital financial services, key trends shaping the fintech sector, and the challenges and opportunities for strengthening cooperation between the business community and regulators in Kosovo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting also highlighted the importance of further strengthening the Fintech Kosovo Network (FIKS), operating within KDWV, as a platform for advocacy and deeper collaboration among leading companies in the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
